About

Welcome to King Without Borders

I’m Aston.

I was born and raised in Jamaica before moving to the United States in 2014. A few years later, life brought me to Okinawa, Japan, and I’ve called this island home ever since.

To be honest, I didn’t create this website because I wanted to become a travel influencer or because I had some big business plan. I created it because I genuinely enjoy exploring. Whether it’s a hidden beach in Okinawa, a local restaurant tucked away in a side street, a historic landmark, or a trip to another country in Asia, I’ve always found myself wanting to capture the experience.

Over time, I realized I was collecting thousands of photos and videos that mostly sat on my phone. This website gives those memories a home.

King Without Borders is my digital travel journal and portfolio. It’s a place where I can document the places I’ve been, the food I’ve tried, the people I’ve met, and the experiences that have shaped my journey. Some posts may focus on history, some on food, some on photography, and others may simply be about a place that left an impression on me.

I don’t claim to be an expert traveler. I’m just someone who loves discovering new places and appreciating different cultures. Through this website, I hope to share those experiences with anyone who enjoys travel, exploration, and seeing the world through a different perspective.

Most of all, this is for me—a way to preserve memories and tell the stories behind the places I’ve been fortunate enough to visit. If others find inspiration, information, or a new destination to add to their own journey, then that’s a bonus.

Thanks for stopping by.
